CeramicSpeed hybrid angular contact ball bearings
Product description
Angular contact ball bearings are designed to handle radial loads in both directions combined with axial loads in one direction. Due to the specific positioning of the inner and outer rings, the contact point between the ball and the raceway does not align with the bearing's centerline, making these bearings ideal for applications with combined loads. Depending on the series, contact angles of 15°, 25°, 30° and 40° are available: larger angles provide greater axial load capacity, while smaller angles are better suited to higher speeds. For additional axial capacity, these bearings are often mounted in pairs (O- or X-arrangement) or in tandem, TO or TX configurations.
Variants, dimensions and materials
CeramicSpeed supplies angular contact ball bearings in the Xtreme variant, for general, robust applications with higher speeds and a longer service life, and the Corrotec variant (including the precision CorrotecX version), for applications requiring corrosion resistance and high accuracy. The inner ring diameter ranges from approximately 5 to 190 mm. The rings are available in chromium steel (SAE 52100), stainless steel (AISI 420/440) and the heat-resistant steel grade X30CrMoN15-1 (1.4108). Cages are available in pressed steel, polymer or machined brass, with a choice of tolerance classes. These bearings are used in pumps and compressors, spindles, e-motors, packaging machines, drilling machines and wheel hubs, among others.
