CeramicSpeed hybrid double row angular contact ball bearings
Product description
Double row angular contact ball bearings combine two rows of balls in a single bearing, efficiently handling both radial and axial loads in both directions. The ceramic balls significantly reduce friction and heat generation, enabling higher rotational speeds and improved wear resistance. The double row design provides additional stability and a more even load distribution, allowing this bearing type to perform well under slight misalignment and tilting moments. As with the single-row version, contact angles of 15°, 25°, 30° and 40° are available, with larger angles offering greater axial load capacity and smaller angles enabling higher speeds.
Variants, dimensions and materials
This is the only bearing type in the CeramicSpeed range available in all four special variants: Corrotec for corrosion resistance, CustomBuild for tailor-made bearings, HighTemp for elevated-temperature applications, and Insulate for protection against stray currents in electrical machines. The inner ring diameter ranges from 10 to 110 mm. The rings are available in chromium steel (SAE 52100), stainless steel (AISI 420/440) and full ceramic zirconia (ZrO2). Cages are available in steel, polymer or brass. This combination of properties makes double row angular contact ball bearings widely used in aerospace, automotive, machine tools, electric motors and high-speed spindles.
